Text messages from Ability Resource

Ability Resource, a nonprofit Independent Living Service Program in Honolulu, sends account notifications by text message to people who ask for them. This page says what we send, how to sign up, and how to stop.

What we send

Texts come from (808) 867-2008 and are about your own account or services with us:

• appointment confirmations and schedule changes
• reminders about forms or paperwork we need from you
• payment and invoice notices
• replies to questions you have sent us

We do not send marketing or fundraising messages. Message frequency varies, usually 1 to 4 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply.

Who can sign up

People who receive services from Ability Resource, our employees, and the organizations we contract with, each for their own mobile number. Signing up is optional: consent to receive texts is not a condition of receiving any service from us, and we will always reach you by phone, email or mail instead.

How to stop, and how to get help

• Reply STOP to any text from us. We send one text to confirm, and then no more. Reply START to sign up again.
• Reply HELP for help by text, call (808) 867-2008, or email [email protected].
• You can also ask us by phone or email to stop texting you.

Your privacy

We use your mobile number only to send you these messages. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our telephone provider carries the messages and sees the number only to deliver them. The full privacy policy and the terms and conditions, including the text message terms, are separate pages.
